Activities

JOSENIANS INCORPORATED (USJR Alumni Association) shall be having major activities this year, specifically this September being a GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING and ELECTION year. With the theme, "Strengthening the JOSENIAN bond and spirit of brotherhood..."

CALLING ALL JOSENIAN ALUMNI (Elementary, High School, All Colleges (Engineering, Commerce, Arts & Sciences, Education, CCICT, Nursing, Law and Graduate School), University organizations such as DRAMATICS, Supreme Student Council and parties, Non-Academic Scholar org., Forward Inc. school publication alumni, ROTC, etc. ) and ALL FRIENDS OF JOSENIANS to JOIN us.

The major activities are as follows:
August 29 (Sunday, 5:00am): 1st RECOLETOS Run (3K,5K, 10K)
  • Dubbed as the "Run for St. Augustine"... OPEN to JOSENIANS and FRIENDS OF JOSENIANS.

  • Venue (Start/Finish Point) - TERRACES, Ayala Center, Cebu Business Park

  • Registration Fee
    • Early Bird Registration Fee (from June 15, 2010 to August 14, 2010): Php 200
    • Registration Fee beyond August 14 until August 27: Php 250
    • Registration Fee is inclusive of the Singlet (Jersey) and Race kit.

September 9 (Thursday): SPORTS ACTIVITIES (this is a Holiday being OSMENA Day)
  • 01:30 PM to 05:00 PM
    • 1st RECOLETOS Fellowship Bowling tournament @ SM Bowling Lanes (For JOSENIANS ONLY)
    • Assembly time: 12:00 Noon
    • Registration fee: Php 2,000 per TEAM of 4 players
    • 4 players per team (4 to count); highest pinfalls format: TEAM GAME
    • 3 games elimination, top 4 teams will advance and will play another 3 games to decide ranking (1st to 4th)

September 9 (Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM): JOSENIAN CONGRESS
  • Plenary session and break-out sessions @ the Center for Performing Arts, USJR (former USJR Main Auditorium)

  • Calling all USJR Alumni from different Colleges for a Continuing Professional education related activity. This activity is spearheaded by the College of Education.

  • Registration Fee (inclusive of lunch & snacks and materials)
    • For All Alumni : Php 500 per attendee
    • For Non-Alumni : Php 750 per attendee

September 10 (Friday, 06:00 PM): FELLOWSHIP AFFAIR @ the Grand Ballroom, Grand Convention Center
  • For JOSENIANS and FRIENDS OF JOSENIANS (Non-Josenian), Graduates in ELEMENTARY, HIGH SCHOOL, IN COLLEGE, POST GRADUATE, and other student organizations, school organizations, etc.

  • Pure fellowship and entertainment. Come as a group of friends or as a batch or as a community of friends. RENAISSANCE BAND will be playing and all we have to do is enjoy, dance, chat and be entertained by a popular VISAYAN singer/comedian in the company of friends and batchmates. GUARANTEED: NO SPEECHES! Just absolute fun and enjoyment.

    • 7:00pm - Dinner
    • 8:00pm - 9:30pm Sing and Laugh with MAX!
    • 9:30pm - 12:00mn Music and dancing with the RENAISSANCE BAND

  • Cost per table of 12 persons is Php 6,600 (inclusive of lauriat dinner and 1 round of drinks). For bookings and reservation, please contact or visit our Alumni Office at USJR Main campus or Contact USJR JOSENAINS Inc. Alumni Office by calling 255-3060.

ALL NET PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE 3 IDENTIFIED BENEFICIARIES. And this shall be a joint project of the ENTIRE Alumni organization of USJR.

The identified beneficiaries are:
  • MISSIONARIES OF THE POOR - Center housing abandoned Elderlies and abandoned children suffering from cerebral palsy

  • ST. EZEKIEL MORENO SPECIAL LEARNING CENTER - for the education of the under-privileged special children, whose families cannot afford.

  • KIDNEY FAILURE CLUB OF THE ASIA RENAL CARE - for the underprivileged Kidney patients, with ailments requiring dialysis.
