USJ-R Josenian, Inc.

New set of Officers and Board of Directors for the year 2009-2010 had their oath-taking and induction ceremonies at White Gold House on December 8, 2008 with the Hon. Vice Governor of Cebu,Engr. Gregorio Sanchez as the Inducting Officer and Guest of Honor.

The affair was graced by the University President, Rev. Fr. Anthony Morillo, and other religious. Other honored guests were the former outstanding Josenian awardees (TOJA), in the likes of Judge Meinrado Paredes, and former Presidents of the Association,Engr. Al, Alcibar, Dr. Tony del Soccoro, Engr. Engr. Florencio Sy, Engr. Ex Bollozos and Nick Limkunhoy.

Former Officers, outgoing Officers of the Association also attended and affair. The affair was well attended, varying from josenians and friends of josenians.

Josenian alumni with alumni ID’s can now avail of discount privileges in five establishments namely: Cebu Progress Marketing Inc., Central Lumber Corporation, Banilad Cebu Trade Center Inc., New Yuteck Hardware, and Fairdeal Electric Company Incorporated. Josenian Incorporated through its president Engr. Segismundo Exaltacion Jr. recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the abovementioned merchants to accept the USJ-R alumni ID as a discount card starting June 4, 2010. The merchants agreed to give the following discounts: 2-10% from Cebu Progress Marketing Inc., 1-5 % from Central Lumber Corporation, up to 3% from Banilad Cebu Trade Center, Inc., 1-10% from New Yuteck Hardware, and 1-10% from Fairdeal Electric Company Incorporated.

Josenian alumni can avail of these discounts just by presenting their valid alumni Id’s upon payment in any of the five establishments. This privilege is made possible by the efforts of Josenian Inc. spearheaded by Engr. Segismundo Exaltacion Jr.

The Josenian Incorporated (JI), through its incumbent president Engr. Segismundo Exaltacion, Jr. and the Board Members, extended financial support to the St. Ezekiel Moreno Special Learning Center of the College of Education, USJ-R. This Center provides free special education services to children with special needs in the marginalized sector of the community. Upon awareness of the plight of the Center and its learners, the JI included in its outreach activities the giving of financial aid to the Center. Plans on sustaining the JI support to this cause have been discussed, for the Center still has many needs to be addressed.

The Josenians Inc. conducted their annuall Community Outreach Program (COP) at the Missionaries of the Poor in Sawang Calero, Cebu City on September 26, 2009.

Josenians Inc. donated medicines, vitamins, milk, diapers, used clothing and shoes.

The event was a joint project by Josenians Inc., USJ-R High School Batch 1984- 1979 and College of Engineering Alumni.
